Challenges:

Constructed on a very small area along a hill ridgeline, the project had limited access as well as a tight timeframe for completion.

After winning the project by tender, the client wished to increase the size of the building by 50%. This meant it had to be completely redesigned, consented and priced. With no change to the timeline due to an event booked for the Rugby World Cup, it had to be ready on time.

Success:

It opened on time as per the contract.

Proportion of Resources:

Robinson Construction delivered the Overall Project Management and the traditional Concrete, Carpentry and Finishing trades. Using subcontractors for Structural Steel, Roofing, Electrical, Hydraulic, Mechanical, Fire Services, Joinery and Painting.

Key Personnel:

Nick Robinson (Project Manager)

Jim Western (Site Managers)

Ray Meaclem (QS)
