Working as a subcontractor for the main contractor Hawkins Construction, Robinson Construction had been involved with the concrete and carpentry trades since the $40 million redevelopment of Blenheim's Wairau Hospital started in 2008. The much-needed redevelopment was undertaken by the Nelson Marlborough District Health Board (NMDHB) over a three year period, and slowly transformed the old hospital.
